The winery manages approx. 125 ha of its own vineyards in the Velkopavlovice and Mikulov sub-regions. Since the beginning of its existence, VINSELEKT MICHLOVSKÝ a.s. has been collecting leading awards in a number of categories of wine competitions at home and abroad, and in the spring of 2010 it received the first ever Winery of the Year 2009 award.
Perfectly positioned vineyards, together with a suitable limestone subsoil, favorable climatic conditions and expert traditional processing, make it possible to produce beautiful wines with excellent freshness with fruity and floral notes, as well as full, extractive and spicy wines with significant potential for aging in the bottle. It is very important to give the wine freedom, to get in its way as little as possible and to leave as much room as possible for the terroir with the given variety, and all this with the least possible use of sulfur dioxide.
The annual production of approx. 1.5 million bottles is categorized into several series, which are distinguished by both the origin of the grapes and the technological processing. Our wines can be purchased in practically all market segments, from premium gastronomy to wine shops to the retail sector. New grape varieties, bred by doc. Ing. Miloš Michlovský, DrSc., are also used for the production of organic wines and ciders.
Innovation and creativity are also at VINSELEKT MICHLOVSKÝ a.s. a very important aspect, as evidenced by a number of low-alcohol and non-alcohol sparkling wines (white, rosé, red), for the preparation of which the most modern technology is used, allowing significant preservation of aromatic substances.
